Homemade Caramel Popcorn
Make the most amidst this lockdown with the ingredients available at our home. A homemade recipe for our favourite caramel popcorn for your evening snack or midnight bites.
- 2 tbsp Neutral flavour oil
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 0.25 Cup Corn kernels
Ingredient for Caramel
- 0.25 Cup Neutral flavour oil
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 0.5 tbsp Baking Soda
In a pan, take oil, salt and turmeric powder.
Once it's a little warm, add corn kernels and close the lid. Cook on med high flame.
Once you start hearing the pop sounds 2-3sec apart, reduce the flame to medium low.
Switch off the burner after the pop sounds stop.Put the popcorns in a large bowl.
Instruction for Caramel:
Pour oil in a pan. Add sugar and stir continuously.
Once the sugar melts and mixture becomes golden, add b.soda and stir quickly. This will make the mixture lighter and way to handle.
Pour this caramel onto the popcorns and wait for it to cool.
